i have been working on comissions for quite months so i wasn´t able to upload anything for a while. This was comissioned for a book that will be released early next year, among some others. I wanted to express some femenine essences, this girl is a truly young beauty and innocent one,but also broken inside with a touch of misterious ;flowers shows her purity, hair show her rebel side, black tears shows her pain, the kitty represent her witchness...and a sun-down olive background, very bright and very dark at the same time as a symbol of her inner feelings and duality. Painted from scratch,Photoshop and a little help of painter. Reference for the pose [link] coments and constructive criticism are very welcome.
UPDATE 13/05/2011: Avaible as part of "Midnight", an artbook written by Viki Tapada, Dibbuks comics. Also, featured in Exotique 6
Only You is truly a breathtaking piece of artwork that can't help but immediately capture its viewers imagination. The soft, muted tones of the painting definitely help to set the overall mood of the piece and also manage to draw attention to its minute details by forcing the viewer to look closer.
Upon first glancing at the piece, I couldn't help but be drawn to the near hypnotic gaze of the young woman, whose eyes almost seem to be lost and beseeching as she stares through the image. The cat's gaze, however, is more enigmatic and the feline adds a definite magical feel to the overall work. Is it her pet or her familiar? It's a secret to which only she knows the answer.
With an amazing use of technique and a flawless attention to detail this is certainly a piece to be proud of.
